SYSTEM) The initial force of an accident is detected by the side protectors and transferred to the shell which in turn absorbs the force of the impact and channels it away from the baby. When the seat is installed next to the car door, the side protector on the door side must be folded out. This technical development provides an extra 40% safety in the case of a side-impact collision. HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE HEADREST (8-POSITION) The new 8-position headrest with integrated harness guides is another aspect of the infant carrier s optimal side-impact protection.
